what are you putting it in ie. car, boat,plane
i have a 9L running on 4s lipo in a car but it does get hot after heavy throttle usage after a while but thats a car its a 1/10th stampede too
a boat would be fine on 4s as it has water cooling which is great
a plane too as air passes in or around the motor
on short the motor in a car would NOT like 5s lipo as thats nearly 50k rpm it will demagnetize the rotor in no time in a car or any type this motor likes 35k rpm or less hope i helped

most dont, so id pick up a set of 10 pairs cheap. they look like they would fit the mamba max esc. (4mm plugs)
