I brought the hk500cmt and it comes with machined screws and cool aluiminuim backing plates so check your parts bags.THE t-rex 500 uses these so slightly different servos (in size regard) will fit. So ditch the stock screws to the workshop if you find the machined set

Is it suitable for a 4-meter 3-kg glider?
|
|
|
| |
|
Straight Up
(80%)
It depends on what control surface you will be using them on and how fast the glider will fly. However, my general rule is that the torque of the servos (in kg.cm) must be at least the same as the mass of the glider, so in this case a 3.0kg.cm servo is adequate for your 3.0kg glider. Ensure your control surface movements are nice and free. Don't use it for retractable undercarriage.

Thanks. The controls are flaps, ailerons, v-tail. Thermal sailplane, electric. Cruise speed 40 km/h, maximum about 100 km/h estimated. No undercarriage. So, can it be ok?

I would like someone to help me with Turnigy MG930 Digital Metal Gear problem. Last month i ordeed hk 500gt full inlcuding 4 mg930. Yesterday i finished assempling The problem is that if i plug everything in the receiver (ar6110e)everything works exept this servo (aileron). If during the receiver is on i unplug and plug again this servo it works ok. But if i turn off the receiver and on again everything else works exept this servo. I bougth a new one Futaba for the tail and i used Turnigy tail servo to replace the servo with problem. In few words with a new servo no problem.I tryied with another receiver (ar6100e) the same problem.I changed all positions. With new servo verything works fine. Can you tell me what is the problem?

How do these servos compare to a HS-5245MG. With respect to Centering and accuracy. Has anybody done some testing on these servos to see what their transit time really is and the amount of torque. I ask because i punish my helis, And I am not sure as to how well these servos will last under severe pitch pumping and green bashing.

Just a quick note, I ordered five of these servos, four for the HK-T500. Three had 180mm leads and two 260mm leads. The 180mm leads are only just long enough to use as AIL and PIT to reach the reciever tray. So keep that in mind if you get the short leads, you will need think over your wiring path carefully. Plus the servo arms only make 15mm length on the last hole so I used some spare Futaba arms that I luckily had spare to get to 16.5mm

you don't really want to use these for the tail on your helicopter, they are good for the cyclic, but get a faster servo for the tail.

In a heli you don't want to use gromets anyway! you want a good fixed servo on the cyclic, the gromets make the servos flex, gromets are not needed on the clyclic...

Eric1180, yes definetly. for a 50 size eCCPM you want 3 at about 5kg torque in standard size, not a mini. Also for a 50 size heli with mCCPM or a standard pitch lever like ThunderTiger, you want 2 * 5kg or so and one at about 10kg for pitch. all in fullsize.
