Just a quick note, I ordered five of these servos, four for the HK-T500. Three had 180mm leads and two 260mm leads. The 180mm leads are only just long enough to use as AIL and PIT to reach the reciever tray. So keep that in mind if you get the short leads, you will need think over your wiring path carefully. Plus the servo arms only make 15mm length on the last hole so I used some spare Futaba arms that I luckily had spare to get to 16.5mm

you don't really want to use these for the tail on your helicopter, they are good for the cyclic, but get a faster servo for the tail.

Anyone with comments on their HC recommended servos for the HK500. I jumped the gun by getting the Park HPX which don't fit perfectly like these.

Okay, might as well reply to myself ! :)

Fitted and flew with the TP930MG, servos feels good and I don't think I'll bother swapping out to the GWS HPX.

Interesting ** the picture shows that it uses 4 mounting screws but the accompanying drawing shows two ** and hardware package appears to contain only two gromets and mounting screws. So can we trust the other specifications given?

In a heli you don't want to use gromets anyway! you want a good fixed servo on the cyclic, the gromets make the servos flex, gromets are not needed on the clyclic...

Are there different versions of this servo? I tried 4 different versions of futaba servo arms on 2 of my TP 930MG servos and none of them fitted. All of them had several dgs slop, as if the teeth on the servo are too thin.

Gears feel and sound good .Fit the frames perfect.Servo wire is 3 inches too short have to use extensions on three servos .Servo arms can only go out to 15 mm ,need 16.5 mm to get proper setup.Need to use longer arms to clear the top of the servo at full pitch (hits the side of the servo )

OK guys... If you plan on using these in a 500 size heli, get some dubro HD type arms from here also. Use standard ball links (like the kind you use on your 450's) and the arm and ball link will clear the top of the case with all stick positions!

These servos are strong, smooth and work well - the accessories are less good as others have said for a Trex 500, EXI 500 or HK 500 buy a set of align servo arms (type H50113) for easy setup. The wires are too short - however if you mount the receiver where you would normally mount the gyro then extension leads can be avoided.

Mine arrived and no problems at all, the leads have been extended at factory and I used dubro (futaba) servo horns on my EXI500. Flew a HK500 with same servos and futaba horns fitted and no issues at all. Great servo...just order them and you'll be happy.

One failed at first test (not in flight) the others are going strong. HK exchange the dead one. Very nice in HK-T500 even with the small arms. You have limited throw and a docile heli.

Tested today during first flight of an HK 500 the tail servo do not keeps the position(it moves random). First impression on this servo was bad.

To use these servos in the HK500 or HK GT500 you need to get DU-BRO Futaba servo horns. The part number for the servo horns is... Cat. No 670. I have these servos coming in the mail and ordered the DU-Bro servo horns so I have them when the servos arrive. Problem solved.

For usage on a flasher 500, the servo horns need to be replaced, I had to use the futaba servo horn set. Nevertheless, this digital servo is bang for ur bucks.

The servo centers well and appears powerful enough, but it is noisy. It 'squeels' when operating. Not sure if I have received a faulty one or not. Not too critical since I am using it to steer the nose wheel.

The first think is that gear is running smoothly, I bought to mount in the HK-T500, rabbet perfectly in the frame, plus a good and cheap option. It centers well and has great torque.

I had one of these fail in a HK500 today (one of the cyclic - aileron). Caused a large crash. Having said that, I will probably replace it with the same, as the others seem to work just fine.

Un servo veramente buono ed economico, io lo uso nel mio trex450 con il gyro assan 410, la coda resta piantata, si puo fare 3d. Ha una risposta molto veloce, non scalda.
