Could someone please tell the diameter of the main gear/ or Pinion. I need to have Modul 0.4 - Main gear would be 26,4mm. Modul 0.5- Main gear would be 33mm.
Thanks!

The main problem is that HobbyCity people seems to be "not comfortable" with geared motor systems. In general the description normally contain confusions between the data of the motor and those regarding the gear reduction (example about rpm and weight of the system).

In particular, for this mini geared system, the data in the item description are about the motor only, not the entire system. So, the entire system weight is near 18 grams and the output shaft is 3mm, as gently reported in floralrug review, and the total prop spin speed seems to be 1471rpm/V (10300 / 7), theoretically below 5500rpm at no load with 1s lipo cell (1471 * 3,7v = 5443). Any case, seems a non sense to use a single cell with 7-10 Amp drow. It would have to try with a 2s battery (nearly 10000rpm at no load), ...seeing if it does not fry :-)

N.b.: 10300 x 7v = 72.000rpm to the motor at no load with a 2s battery!! ...perhaps too much high

What is the right ESC for this motor ? ... The suggested TURNIGY Plush 10amp 9gram Speed Controller is for 2/4 cells, while this motor is for 1 cell.

Unfortunately I do not know any 7-10 Amp ESC compatible with single cell lipo battery :-(

Hi, What is the gear ratio on this gearbox? Thanks

Visually counting the teeth of the gears, I have calculated that it could be 7:1 or 6:1.
Of course I could be wrong, but I think it is sufficiently close, maybe HC can reply with exact numbers.

The ratio is 7.1:1 with a 64 tooth main gear and 9 tooth pinion gear. I need to weigh mine it seems heavy.

ITMax61MI said 7 therefore the entire thing has 1470kv 1471kv*4,2V = 6200RPM without load about 2/3 under max load => 4100PRM with prop I would start trying with a 9"x6" SF Propeller.

8045 would be ideal on this, giving you 1.88 amps drawn, and 3774 rpm at the prop. It would generate 2.87 oz / 81.4g of static thrust and give 51.9% efficiency. Don't expect speed though, it would top at at 16mph pitch speed, more for 3d & slow flying.
All the above data is assuming 7.1:1 gear ratio, which I will verify when my order arrives.
