Same it say's reserved for me but they still have not packed my order. I already paid and all items are in stock. Weird??? Maybe the e-mail was a error or they did not have enough for everybody. I have been waiting so long for my batteries. I cant drive my car without them. Hobby City please give me an update on the whats happening.

I charge my Zippy 3s 2200 mAh 20/30C Lipos always with 1,3C and after more than 30 charge cycles they still work fine and have also full capacity.
Because these new Zippys have a higher C-rate i`d like to know, is it possible to charge they with more than 1C current, maybe up to 2C current?

All manufacturers tell you to charge at no more than 1C. Most of us over on the Helicopter Forums charge at 3c. But only do so after a break in period. To break in a battery, discharge by half or less (barely use it) and charge at only 1C, do this at least 4-5 times (some say to do it 10 times but I am too impatient). Treated like this my zippys are performing better than some batteries I've bought that cost 3x as much.

to extend the life of the battery, charging current should be small
but the longer the filling time

Skunkworx, stop spreading information that you have no proof of.
Snake98, yes they do fit in the E-Revo Brushless edition. They are snug, but they fit just fine. Just ask anyone on the Traxxas forum.

I do have proof. I actually tried to put one in. It didn't work. Yes you can dremel away a good chunk of the frame to get it in there, but it wasn't worth it IMO. I would post pics if I could.

Do these fit the e-revo brushless?
|
|

Skunkworx

No they won't fit. They're too wide for almost any battery tray or at least the ones that will fit 6-7 cell stick packs. I put one in a Rustler, but had to stand it up on it's side and remove the ESC tray otherwise it'll smoosh the end of the battery.

SKUNKWORX the reason it didn't fit the Rustler is that it is becaseu of the way the wire exits. All you need to do is do a bit of dremeling and it wil fit and perform flawlessly. BTW It does fit the E-REVO without any problem. The only problem is that it gives so much power you will be replacing parts unless you turn down the MMM's settings! LOL!

How do you explain it being too long t fit in the tray and smashing the end of the battery up then? The Rhino 4900's will work well, but you also have to mod the tray, just a whole lot less than the Flightmax 5,000. Either way, the battery was too wide to fit into the battery tray. So unless they changed the dimensions of the battery, the version I have simply won't work in a Traxxas tray that's similar to the Rustler/Slash.

It is hard to understand how these are 1000 mah greater capacity than the Zippy H 3s 25C 4000 pack, but the dimensions are shorter in length and only 1mm thicker:

What are the constant amps and the burst rate amps for this battery. The C scale really doesn't mean too much I'm more concerned about amps.
thanks, AW

30C constant 40c burst. Translates to 30C*5000mah = approx 150A Constant, and 40C*5000mah = approx 200A Bursts.
Hope this helps

The C rating IS the amperage dude. As Hardcore put it, you multiply the C rating by Amp-hours of the battery to get the max dicharge rate. Hope that clears things up.
