hi everybody,
does anyone use this receiver with one lipo cell? I woul like to build a very micro plane using one cell to save weight.
thank you
   IRONMAN (42%)
I regularly fly indoor models with 1 lipo cell and have flown outdoors keeping fairly close in, no problems. Try the 1 cell servos
   IRONMAN (42%)
No problem indoors

Does anybody really knows what is the full range?
Or if there is some kind of web site where we can look up this info?

It's a shame what it takes to send the articles to meet lead times tones:
   natifly (77%)
I have tested it until the plane was almost not visibile anymore and I didn't have any problem at all. My trasmitter is a JR x347 with the assan module 2,4 ghz

   Ramir (69%)
Hi Nicola. This ASSAN receiver will work ordinary with ASSAN transmiter only.
   Anne (63%)
Hi Nicola, this receiver is only compatible with Assan X8 RF module
   dutchspider9 (50%)
No this won't work with your spectrum transmitter.

Will this Rx work with the HobbyKing 2.4 Ghz 4 channel Tx?
   dutchspider9 (50%)
No it won't. This receiver only works with A assan module. (i suppose you haven't got a Assan module in your hobbyking transmitter)

Kjell Arne (50%)
Will this receiver work with JR DSX9 2,4?
   Mastermag (45%)
Nej, det gr den inte. (Nope)
   Lunkentuss (70%)
Nej,bara med Assan-moduler
   dutchspider9 (50%)
If you've got an Assan module in your transmitter it will. if you haven't got a Assan module in your transmitter it won't work.

How do you power this RX if you are running 4 servos?
   Mustang Sally (96%)
Typically this RX will be used in electric applications, so it will get it's power through the throttle channel, which will get the power from the ESC. In any other case it can also be done by using a Y-lead to any of the servos and connect the other side to a battery.
   IRONMAN (42%)
Y lead on any channel to connect batt

Would also like to know if RX will work down to 3.0v.

bswoolf (54%)
Did anyone an try using the RX with 1S ( 3.7 V)?
   J.P. (86%)
Similar to my reply on the 7.4V question... In the same discussion on RCGroups someone has flown on a single 3.7V LiPo. These receivers appear to be designed to work with one LiPo cell. Possibly specifically these 4 channel micro receivers, and probably the new 6 channel micro as well. While the other receivers may be able to work with 1 LiPo, I do not think that they have the same safety margin at this low voltage.
   IRONMAN (42%)
Yes I fly indoors with no problems

Mastermag (45%)
What voltage-range does it operate on? Could i just stick in a 7.4 v lipo into it?
   J.P. (86%)
As I understand on discussions on RCGroups, these receivers work fine on 2s LiPo 7.4V. They are using a slightly higher rated voltage regulator in their new designs to allow for this.

Now... Will your servos work on 7.4V? Most will not - at least not for very long.
   dbs911 (69%)
I use ep6 or bms 306 or waypoint 060 with 2s battery on my indoor f3p without problem (more 100 flight)
   insang (82%)
I'm also using this on 2s lipo on my buggy with no issues.

For RussinLanguage customers...

nowinkk (82%)
Can anyone pls let me know where I can find the servo connector in Hobbycity for this 4ch rx? A specific link to the product would be most appreciated. Thanks
   Beaufighter (-25%)
No special connection should be needed, it is a standard. Servos with Jr and Futaba connectors should fit.
   Neal T. (78%)

Nowinkk, are you referring to the new Assan 4 ch rx using the mini JST connector?
I have not located the mini JST connector in Hobby City yet. With more people getting into micro-light rc flying, HC will likely have servos soon. JR and Futaba currently have servos with the mini JST connectors. I have also heard people refer to this connector as a micro servo connector.
A wire with mini JST connector on one end and open wire on the other is available from Tower Hobbies thru Futaba (rather costly piece of wire* about $5). This wire can be spliced into current micro size servos for ultra light airplanes or helis.
This JST connector might be available thru your local electronics store that is familiar with JST connectors. You can also search the JST website <***********jst****/index.html> You will need to measure the pin separation referred to as the pitch and pin size.
JST is likely to be the source for other connectors used in RC hobby.
Hope this helps you.
Aloha

Thank you guys.
I managed to get 4 pcs from a local radio/tv repair shop owned by one of our rc club members. Of course, those were used ones savaged from write-off cd/video players.

Yep John, us Futaba FASST owners have to bend over and grab our ankles when it comes to paying $99.99 for a 2.4 GHz receiver. Have a nice day.

Well, I just lost one 6 ch receiver that day, it flew off with my zagi, never to be found again. How I'd wish I've known about the X8 system before I bought my Futaba T7C :(
   OldSkoolKool (98%)
Dude, that sux. :( If I find it here in Texas I'll send it back to you. *)

John (47%)
Are there any which bind to a Futaba FASST Tx other than Futaba ?
   Krist (62%)
No.
Every single system works only with their products.
I know how you feel to pay 80€* for 6 channel Fasst receiver. I almost get 3 Assan receivers for that money...

John (47%)
I presume that these bind to a Spektrum Tx ?
   Beaufighter (-25%)
No:
- Assan X8 binds to X8 ONLY.
- Spektrum DSM binds to DSM only.
- Futaba FASST binds to FASST only.
- Corona V1 binds to V1 only.
- Corona V2 binds to V2 only.
ETC....

They all use proprietary (secret and/or patented) technology, so it is not possible to combine two brands.

chomiq (88%)
Maybe someone from you know what is the max. range of this? What is weight of this receiver without a shrink wrap and pins?
   Eric1180 (-53%)
What i don't se the point in asking what the weight is without the pins or wrapping? 1. Why would you need to know and 2. it would be so insignificant and also destroy the receiver.
   michaelo (93%)
the size model you would be flying with this unit you realy would not want to be flying any further than 500 feet away from the tramsmitter ,also bear in mind range will alter with weather condition ,beware heavy rain and high humidity yor range will go down to 10 feet ,if you live in the tropics it may pay to pack these sets away dureing the monsoon season, dureing the dry season they are brilliant.
   chomiq (88%)
Eric1180 did you hear about DLG models or indoor F3A/F3P? When you plan to make an 80cm indoor 3D model with weight around 115g you are looking for lightest receiver you can find. In my Rex5 MPD I can save about 2-2,5 grams from receiver simply take off shrinkwrap and solder servos directly to RX PCB *p
   Krist (62%)
Pins and shrink wrap weights about 1g. I removed pins and shrink wrap on my 4ch corona that is near same dimensions as this receiver.
   chomiq (88%)
Thanks Kristjan !!

In the Assan thread on RCGroups Meng has stated that this Rx is 'full range' so I would assume that is 400-800 meters just like the other 'mini' Rx with short antennae.

There is no range or restriction of use specified on the package.

Doesn't really matter though because these are obviously targeted at indoor use.

I have two, they are really tiny and the weight is as advertised - 3 grammes. Have not tested - Tx module hasn't arrived yet.
   tkupcik (77%)
Range is very well. I use this rx i my Zero: ***********kupcata****/2008/09/zero.html

First, I used X8R6, but now I have changed it for X8R4. And I have noticed no changes.

I use this receiver few month only, but I have had never some problem with flying up to last point, which give me possibility recognice pozition of my airplane. So 400m (no feet)range is no problem.

Gostaria de saber se este receptor funciona em DSM2 Full Range digo , no Transmissor DX7 Spektrum
   burke (85%)
So.. "800m" (over 2000ft) is indoor?? Wow, that's a massive house you have.

Per specs, you should be able to go about further than you can see your model.

cara se conseguir sincronizar blz de onde vc e??
a spektrum e muito especifica
