My 8150 does not count minutes correctly.The safety timer is programmable up to 720 minutes. If you have the safety timer programmed for more than 255 minutes, it will only count to 255 and then starts over again at zero. This sucks! You need to know how many minutes have passed.Have I got something set wrong or do I have a defective charger?

Hi all,
does enybody know, where I can buy or get SW or CD for this Charger?
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
Yes, you want to download the LogView software and use the setting for Bantam e-charger 8. Read some of the reviews to find out where you can get it.
Bernd (0 points) 9/17/2009
Hi.
Has anyone solved a problem with the display? My charger shows unknown characters after pressing the stop-button. Sometimes the displayed chatacters clear away. Then you have to plug out and on again.

Hi, just got my charge but with no software CD. Can some advise where i might be able to soure this software, thanking you in advance...
  Reply:  jackON5OO (0 points);
same here no USDB nor logger program
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
-read-the-reviews. Look for LogView.

The reason that so many people ask the same questions over and over is that they don't bother to look first before they ask.

I bought this charger to add it to my dynamite prophet so i can have two chargers for weekend running and I found myself replacing my prophet with it. This chatger is a dream come true especially for the price. Comparable chargers normally 2 to 3 times the price. This charger makes light work of NIMH batteries even 5000+ mah packs highley reccomend picking one of these up you wont regret it!

Hi all. If you are looking at some uber-expensive Hyperion charger or something similar..... do not waste your money! This charger is $70. An equivalent charger is up to $300. This is better than a lot of chargers that are more. Amazing value for money! Not just that - it actually works very well as well. I use this charger for everything, it works every time. When i have thought it was broken, it turned out to be the battery. The saying 'you get what you pay for' has been absolutely abolished by this magnificent, brilliant charger!

Hi Shaldon!
Was the software (CD) included?
  Reply:  tonnsracing (1 points);
It says it supposed to be but mine did not come with it.

I bought one of these and it beats out my Schulze Chameleon and Triton chargers by far. Easy to program (not like chameleon) and has an amazingly fast startup charge cycle that gets lipos charging at 1C right away. No slow lead up in current like most other chargers. I paid $300 for the chameleon not 3 years ago. At $70 the Turnigy is a steal. Built in balancer is awesome too.
pejay (4 points) 9/7/2009
I just received the 8-150 charger and it works OK on Lipo, but it stinks on NiCad batteries. I used it to cycle several NiCads and the cappacity went down for each cycle. At the end the capacity was down to 20% of full capapcity (around 150 mah on a 600 mah pack). Then I tried my "good old" Triton charger and voila - the batteries went back to almost max capacity in a jiffy.
I think this charger is not reliable and not worth the money. It's too bad I threw away the original box, otherwise I would send it back to Hobby King. And there was no printed manual in the box and no CD but a USB cable which is a waste. So Jon, It's good luck for you that they have no stock. I recommend you to choose another charger brand
  Reply:  Mogli (6 points);
hi Peter! what about the temp sensor? was it included?
  Reply:  pejay (4 points);
hi Mogli, Yes it was included but I did not use it. The batteries did not get hot-used low current. The Triton does not have a temp sensor. But perhaps using the temp sensor on the Turnigy will keep the charging longer for each cycle even if the temperature is not increasing much?
Mogli (6 points) 9/6/2009
this charger comes with the temp-sensor with the usb cable and with windows software?
  Reply:  Mogli (6 points);
yes it does. except the software. (But you can download a freeware called logview)

When are they going to have more in stock? Its showing like -69 in stock. How can it go that much into the negative? Also, why on the home page is the lady holding this particular charger in her hand if they don't have it in stock. Don't they know not to tempt us? This is horrible.
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
They're in stock now, but when they're not, do what I did**order and pay for it now, and when it is in stock, it will be sent to you. That's why the stock numbers can become negative. Think about it.

Where do i plug in my 2s battery for balancing since there is not 2 cell port?
  Reply:  Jon (51 points);
Seriously? Get yourself a blinky you dolt!
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
He doesn't need to do that. You can use the 3 cell port. Someone gave instructions for how to do it in the reviews. And is it really necessary to call someone a dolt for asking a question? That's what the discussion area is for.

Howdy,
Can it do a 7amp charge on a 7s A123 4600mah battery. Just looking for some quick field charging.

Thanks,
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
Volts x Amps = Watts.

I have been having a problem with this charger where the screen turn to garbage. The internal fan does not run sometimes and that when I seem to have this problem. anyone else have a problem like this. The internal temp goes above 30c. Does the fan runs anytme you charge a Lipo?
askiba (0 points) 7/21/2009
I bought 8150 charger and it worked great for about 10 batteries and then died. LCD is not lit and there is no beep when I connect the power. Now I'm waiting for the instructions from the customer support.

how to charge 1 cell and 2 cell 2S
  Reply:  htamimi (0 points);
with balance charger there is no port for 1 and 2 cell
  Reply:  askiba (0 points);
I charged 2 cell by inserting it into 3 cell, just make sure the black wire is in the corner.
dikster (1 points) 7/9/2009
I,ve notice that the fan does't always rotate when you connect the power switch or even when charging. The only time that I've notice is that when I do discharging. Is this normal? Any input from you guys?
  Reply:  calsonic (1 points);
Yup thats normal. The fan will be used more when discharging due to heat dissipation.
  Reply:  dikster (1 points);
Thanks for the input calsonic. You relieve me of my concern.
calsonic (1 points) 6/30/2009
My accucell 8 charges the 1st cell to 4.25v and the rest to 4.13 in balance mode. I cant get an answer from anyone on how to rectify this issue. please help.
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
Check all of the discussions and reviews. I believe someone mentioned some potentiometers that could be adjusted inside the case. It was either for this charger or the Accucell 6.
dikster (1 points) 6/30/2009
Is the LCD of Accucel 8 bigger than Acccel 6? Or the LCD the same in size?
slrdave (0 points) 6/26/2009
I'm looking to purchase or make an extension cable for the balancing connector, but I can't seem to find the right connectors (male/female) that fits this charger. Everything I see on-line looks close, but is not exactly the same. I really don't want my charging bateries to be sitting so close to the charger.
  Reply:  Sloperdude (31 points);
They're here on HK. Go to Chargers/Charge Plug Leads. They're on page 3 & 4.

Will this charger charge 2-3S lipos at one time with the supplied cables or would I need to purchase additional cables?
