If I understand correctly, you plug the two balance connectors on your two 3S 2200mAh batteries into the yellow connector. You don't plug your battery's Dean's connectors into anything. Then you plug the Dean's connector on the device into your charger's Dean's connector and set the charger to 6S, 22.2V and 1C or 2.2A. Do I have that right?

I not sure if I have a defective charge plug, but here are my results and it doesnt work. I have a G.T. A6 charge and tried charging two 2200 mah 3S 25 C Flightmaxx Lipos * 2.2 amps. I chose the 6 cell charge which it recognizes but when it starts charging it doesnt display any voltage for Cell 1 and 2. Cell 3 is like 4.95, Cell 4 and 5 are 2.6, and Cell 6 4.95. I believe I have setup everything correctly and the batteries both charge normal by themselves, so I can only conclude that I hav a defective plug. Has anyone else had this issue? They are pretty cheap so I might give another one another shot. Thanks!

I ordered one just to see how it works and it does work. But wondering if connected the way is shown in the schematic that came with it, all the amps flow through the balancing wires?! Is this safe?It says 0.1-15A!

This may help: The two batteries are charged through the balance connectors only. The balance lead wires can easily handle the less-than-5.0 amps that the charger is capable of outputting. So you connect the Dean's Connector of the device to the Charge Output of the Charger and the JST-XT 6S connector to the Balance Port of the Charger. Then connect your Balance Leads from the Batteries to the device (GTPower Twins).

Rooster previously asked the question but did not get a answer that was understandable by someone unfamiliar with electricity's properties. Therefore I will ask again: "If you have two 3S 2200 mah batteries, using this device do you charge at 2.2 amps or do you charge at 4.4 amps?"Please, a simple 2.2 or 4.4 amp charge rate answer is all that is needed to clear things up.Thank you so very much for your valuable time.

The way that this Twins device works is by fooling the charger into thinking it's charging a single 6s battery pack. 6s stands for 6 cells connected in SERIES. This is why your TWO 3s packs must be connected in SERIES and why you will charge at DOUBLE the Voltage (11.1 x 2) but the same amps (mAh rating of single battery / 100). Each cell in a 3s pack has the full mAh rating of the whole pack but they are connected in series which multiplies the Voltage (3 x 3.7V = 11.1V). So TWO 3s batteries wired in SERIES becomes the same as ONE 6s battery or (6 x 3.7V = 22.2V). In short you need to charge TWO 3s 2200 mAh batts at 2.2 amps (1C) and at 22.2 Volts.

Has anyone had a problem using this adapter with the Accucell 6 charger. It's seems when I plug my battery into one of the connectors I get a "reverse polarity" message.

There is only one Deans plug in the adapter? How do i connect it when each of my batteries need a Deans plug? I need to buy another adapter for that?

Hi, Need to charge two 5000maH Zippy 3s lipos with this lead *5A with Imax B6 charger. My question is: Can i safely pass 5a through the balancing leads of the batteries, or is it too much?
JORGE (0 points) 7/15/2009
I think, something is not correct on the picture. There is a double 3cell balancer female connector(yellow shrink tube) in which you can plug the balancer connectors of the two batteries. There is a 6 cell balancer male connector which you can plug into the charger's balancer port. But I see only one female T-connector, which is connected to the male connector's of the charger. And the T-connectors off the batteries? When i use the I-MAX B6 i have to plug the balancer connector e the t-plug at the charger to begn charger procces!!! It will charges the 2 batt only plugging the balance plug at this device?
JORGE (0 points) 7/15/2009
Use the Imax b6. How do I connect the battery with this device? For me I have to connect the plug off power and the balance plug at imax b6 and this device, to connect the battery, I just see the balancing plug.

Hi There dose the dean conector couple to the deans conector on the charger and how long dose it take to charge 2 3s batteries on my Turnigy Accucel-6 charger at 1.8 amps

Hobby King should have a twin pack charge lead 2x2s 4s. It would cut down on charge time for 24hr Slash races.

ian (3 points);
and now with 1/8 brushless getting into the market lots use 2x2s hard packs as 4s hard packs are either way expensive or hard to get

Why not have these adapters for balancing 2 x 2s at one time for jst-xh type of connectors? You sell an adapter board (CY- B6 plus balancer connector) for balancing 2x3s or 3x2s packs but it only accepts Polyquest, Hyperion, TP, and Flightpower connectors. Why not the jst-xh connectors for the batteries you sell? Or am I incorrect? Thank you.

I have the same ? as Neil above. Can I get one that will charge 2, 2s packs? I just ordered 2 for the 1/16 slash and would like to charge them at the same time.

Heya i just ordered Twin pack charge lead (2 x 3S)6S + Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 5A Balancer/Charger, my question is, do i need anything else to connect those two ?? Do i need any extra cables or anything else ?
I got two of these Twin pack charge lead for my GTA6 and Turnigy Accucel-6 Balance Charger. Now i can charge 4 of my 3s at the same time and it work flawlessly. A must have!
perfect for the Turnigy Accucel-6 charger or any 6S charger to charge 2 3S packs at the same time. use this charge lead where the charger needs to be pluged in on both balance and discharge plugs, otherwise use the simple 6S to 2X3S charge lead without the deans style discharge plug. This is exactly what you need to charge two lipos witch will be used together (serial or parallel). You only need to plug both balancing plugs to adapter, and them it to the charger, no place to error. I charge my 3S 2200mA with it.

Nice little device allow you to charge 2 pack simutanously. However, you gotta make sure you charge both packs with the same capicity and similar voltage or else you will end up with both packs half charged.

imax, GE, any charger with 6cell charging and discharging capability will work with this twin pack lead. The only thing you need is higher amp input from you ac-dc adapter..If you use less that 5A input amp from your adapter the charging will failed. 5A and above is ok..

Usefull product, personally i use it with my accucell-6 with great results. Actually you can twin-charge comparable packs like loongmax 1300 15C & 20C or ABF 2200 & Vislero 2100 with great results and time saving. Also works with Hyperion LBA10.

Two wires on my unit were switched I got 8v on cell 3, 0v on cell 4. This kept the charger from doing anything with the battery, thinking one cell had died. I sliced off the cover and switched the offending wires, and all is good now. I like that it taps off the total power to a Deans connector, because my charger (as most do) need that in addition to the charging plug connected.

I used this to Series charge some 3S packs. It works fine as a series charge plug. Series charging can allow you to take 2 3S batteries and instead of taking 2 hours to balance charge 2 packs one right after the other, it might take 1hr 15-30 minutes. The reason it is not half as long is since you are blancing 6 cells, one battery might go into CV mode sooner than the other and drop the current. Too much to explain here though.

This is a great accessory that enables you to charge two 3s lipos on a 6 cell balancing charger. Mine arrived well made and works flawlessly with my new Turnigy Accucel 6 charger so I can balance charge two Zippy 15c 3s lipos at once. Note: this adapter plugs into both the balance and discharge ports of your charger, if your charger doesn't have the discharge plug, Hobby City sells another adapter without the discharge plug.

TRabaja de maravilla, va muy bien con el Turnigy 6, cargo dos pilas d 3 celdas en forma simultanea sin problemas. Mainland
Perfect addition to the Turnigy Accucell-6 charger http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=7028
Plug 2 3S lipos into the sockets on one side, and the 6S plug and charge leads into the charger, and you can charge 2 batteries in the time it takes to charge one of them.
The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star product is that the leads are so short this makes it difficult to charge in a fireproof container. But two 3S Wire extenders (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8874) will fix that issue.
