Hello people:

I'm new to R/C and I picked this up to power the Turnigy Accucell-8150. How do you plug it into the Turnigy? With NO instructions with the Turnigy and NO power supply directions in the manual from this site how do I hook this up? The plug on this will not match any of the plugs that came with the Turnigy. Please help!

I am a beginner.
When the spec says "The Turnigy Accucel 6 is an entry level balancing charger and discharger which can handle up to 6 cells and 5A.", this means up to 6 diffrent "batteries" or one battery with 06 cells ("modules") ?
I have one "battery" NiMh 2700, 8.4V with 07 "modules" 2700,1.2 V* it can be charged/balanced/cycled/discharged with TURNIGY 6 ? and I can use this Imax power supply ?Thanks in advance

6 cells is 6 cells, not six batteries. Here it is meant 6 LiPo cells. It can charge/discharge/balance up to 15 NiCd/NiMh cells. This powersupply is ok, but it is designed for the Imax chargers, and has a plug for that charger, not the Turnigy. There is another 5A powersupply (searc for "12V 5A Power Supply") for ~1/2 of the cost avail here, that will do the same job:)

Thanks a lot
Just to put it very clear to me :
you mean a Lipo battery composed of 6 cells * a NiCd/NiMh battery composed up to 15 cells.
Is that correct ?
In this case, the Turnigy 6 is good for that or I'll need a Turnigy 8 ?

**-Calculation of the Charge current**-

The spec says: Output 15V * 5A, so output power is 75W

The charger has an efficiency of approx 80%, so you can charge max 0.8*75W = 60W into your batteries.

Calculation of the max charge current:

2s battery- 60W / 8.4V = 7.1A
3s battery- 60W / 12.6V = 4.75A
4s battery- 60W / 16.8V = 3.55A
5s battery- 60W / 21.0V = 2.85A
6s battery- 60W / 25.2V = 2.35A

I hope this solves many questions.

would this power supply work with the triton charger & will it charge a 3s 5000 mah.
thanks.
ketnet (45 points)
does it give the 5Amps it says?
i want to charge 6S 5000mah lipos with it!
on turnigy charger Accucell 6
  Reply:  Beaufighter (707 points);
Yes, it does give 5A max, but at 12V. But if you are charging at a higher voltage, the supplied current must be higher at 12V... (the charger can supply the higher voltage, at a higher current draw at the input) So to charge a 6S (~25V) battery at 5A with a 12V supply, twice the current is needed, 10A minimum (in addition to heatloss etc in charger...)

For charging more than 3S, I'd recommend a supply with a higher voltage (min 18V) and higher current.

will it work with the Turnigy Accucel-6

It will work for sure with any charger up to 8 cells.

Does it supply enought power to GT A-6?
  Reply:  webber (1531 points);
I have GT A-6 and the power is enough. It was working for almost a year and always barely warm (as any power supply should be).

Will this work with the new 6s turnigy charger?
  Reply:  webber (1531 points);
It will work - you will have no problems. This one is a cheap and reliable power supply.

does item comes with ac cord (110v)?
  Reply:  Jason5001 (994 points);
Yeah it does.
it comes with a USA plug, but you can easily get a cord to suit it or an adapter plug $5.00 at your hardware or electronic store.
It's a non-issue
