I have two DLs and two DAs. The specs on the DLs are looser than the DAs. Both of the ring lands on the DLs are too big allowing the ring to slam up and down in the land. Prefer the stronger billet cut crankcase of the DA. The DA pulls just as well as the DL. They are both loud since none of the gas engines has a real muffler, i.e. a 2/3 1/3 division in the muffler. The "muffler" are simply a diverter with no muffling being done.
For long term the DA and its service win, hands down. For shorter term, cheaper planes, and price the DLE wins.

I found that header the one from the DA50 fit, what a great eng. WOW! what power this is the best eng. for the price at HC.

I have had 2 of these motors. the first one was flawless. I am having trouble starting the second. it is brand new and when I flip it, it coughs, backfires and then dies. will only run a few seconds at a time. any help would be great.

I found that the gap in the spark plug had come from the factory wrong. re-gaped the plug, runs perfect....

any 50cc gas engine should do but if you plan on doing anything other than sport flying the dle-55 will give you the power to do acrobatics and then some

The engine is delivered in , to Moskuvu. The box edge has been a little rumpled. But as packing strong enough, the engine has come perfectly safe. By sight :) and further we will look.

Hobbycity does not sell parts for the DL50. If you want them you must go to DLUSA. They are good folks from what I have read.

I've asked before but you don't have any yet, are you going to stock props to suit this motor? 23x8 (preferred) or 22x10 would be nice.
Also the point everyone is making about the spares for this motor is a valid one please can you let us all know if there is any intention at all of stocking spares for this motor it's extremely popular and it would make sense for you to do so. but if your not then let us know so we can find a supplier.

dle55 fired it today right out of box fired after choke one flib wow it didnt take fuel to good till iturned up top end then wow it runs sweet ran 2 pints threw her and she allready hits 6800 rpm mark with 22/10 xoar prop cant wait to put her in540 edge thanks hk

Why not just put a PDF of the motor template on your website or in the manual. If it is that easy to do then why not do it once for everyone. Make sure to put the dimensions on it so when it is printed they can be sure it printed in the correct size. BTW I don't find it that quick or easy to do and would appreciate it being done once rather than making each customer do it over and over again.

Run the eng. at idle for a tank or 2, tank 12oz then let cool afthr each tank. After 3 tanks I start to idle-up in short points NOT full power only 1/4 to 1/2. then 4th tank I fly. Useing only low power doint forget to have FUN.
