Hi all, yesterday I tried to bind my 10C with this module with a Kyosho Minium... and I couldnt... it's module problem, or Minium receivers are not compatible with DSM2?

What is involved in fitting this system into an Optic 6. Is there any soldering? Does the case need to be butchered? Do I need to be an electronic genius or nerd type person?

no it fits right in using the FUT MOD and works awesome! drop in module, screw on antenna wire, take out 72Mhz antenna screw in adaptor rod (a bit longer than needs to be) place antenna on top voila you're flying 2.4Ghz

Hey Teppo. Your naighbour from sweden here. Can you please tell me what you manage to bind it to? ar500? ar6100 and such recievers! Im about to buy this product but I get all cind of different answers from all cind of different people. Ive got the FUTABA 10C / T10CAP
FLY1ON (76 points);
Despite what Horizon Hobbies (Spektrum in the USA says it won't work different pin assignments, they're wrong) the 10CAP can use the older Futaba modules so pins are the say as say the 9C It would work in the 10CAP I'm using the Spektrum Module here in Canada in my 10CAP and it works perfectly!

I have a Tower Hobbies 6XM 6 channel 72mhz FM tx- is this considered a "module based" tx? It's patterned on a Futaba and uses the same case. Can anyone tell me if the Spektrum would work with this radio?

Hi. Are there any regional codes associated with this Airmod. Would this work fine in New Zealand and bind with recievers bought from New Zealand. Thanks
Dimdimich (33 points) 9/8/2009
Cannot bind it on my HiTec Eqlipse7. Tried to set on PPM as instructed and tried to change the shifts too.. Heard somebody didnt have dual rates lesser than 100 prsnt, and after he did set 100 it worked.Tried that too-didnt on myne. Do anybody have/had the same problem and knows how to fix it please please???

Is this system any better then Assan? The price is the same but with Assan you get 2 receivers. This is a better brand, wonder if it offers better signal or interference tolerance then Assan.

FLY1ON (76 points);
Yes this works way better than the Assan, I threw my Assan Module and RX in the garbage! I lost 2 planes and had lockouts with Assan all the time and had weird things happen to my Eclipse and Optic 6 where the setting wouldnt stay after programing with Assan. No problems with the SPEKTRUM and with the 6100 RX I can fly outta sight with no signal loss! Woo Hoo....

Installing and binding OK! Test with servos OK! But my 9C is beeping irregular, the red power lamp and the volt indicator in the display is also flashing irregular. Transmitter was set to PPM as described. Anyone??????????

Futaba 10C will work with it ?
MissOshkosh (0 points);
The description doesn't say 10c. I have ordered another module to see if it acts differently. The one I have drains my 2300mAh pack in 3 hours!

It does works with W-fly 8ch (WTF-09)?
Reply:
chomiq (275 points);
If Assan module for Futaba TX works fine with WTF-09, so I think Sectrum module for Futaba TX also will work with WFly 8Ch Digital Tx.
tronchaviones (392 points);
I have tested this adapter on a WFT-09, and I can confirm it works perfectly, binding to the included AR7000 and also binding to a Parkzone's Vapor brick.
By the way, I also bought it at $109.99 Feb 18, 2009
bigdaddy61362 (4 points)
Why is this so expensive? Can get it in the us for $110.00

Beaufighter (755 points);
Then buy many! The AR7000 RX alone cost around $100 in most webshops, so if you get the Airmod included at that price I'd buy it if I had a Futaba!
I ve just tested it with Hitec optic 6 and it works ... :-) no noise no problems with fequency stabilities, stable, safe flying, etc.

Applicable also to Multiplex M

I have used this set to successfully spektrumize ) my Multiplex MC4000.
So I have best of both worlds (my beloved MC4000 with total programming freedom, comfortable layout and superb mechanics of sticks with reliable radio link oferred by DSM2 by spectrum. What is more - I still can use 35 and 40 MHz plug in modules in my radio together with my XX MHz receivers).
This is not just plug-and-fly - you need a soledring iron to do this but no additional parts (except one connector) nor electronics experience is required at all.
I used the method described in rcgroups at: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=826539
And at the transmitter side it costs you only slightly above $100 because in the set there is an AR7000 receiver (some $90 value).
And final comment - I wonder why it is only 8 ch. for Futaba. ??? With my Multiplex this module works perfectly as 9ch when AR9000 (9ch receiver) is used.

2,4GHz for Futaba 9C
Baard Olav and Jon Bernhard Ho

I've now tested this system. Comes with complete easy to read instructions.
Solved range problem when using HXT-ESC and 35MHz systems. Earlier I've performed test with PPM(single and dual conv.) and PCM receivers from corona and Futaba. Using HW, Turnigy or TowerPro ESCs range with antenna down was about 15m. Using HXT10A,18A,36A,80A(all gave similar results) range of only 4-5m was obtained. With this 2.4GHz system range is >15m with reduced power button pressed. Although this is not directly comparable it looks as this has solved my problem when using 35MHz based systems. On 36MHz the reduced range with HXT-ESCs har not been registered, so this can be a matter of frequency more than system robustness.

6 stars I have had this little add-on for a while now. Very good performer, aerial adapter fits real easy, and module clips in like a glove on my OPTIC 6. A real bargain as it comes with a 7000 twin receiver. Just one thing to remember about the different models. The model select on the radio will not differentiate receivers like the DX7, otherwise this device is really good value. Great Work again Hobby City

I have successfully installed this module on my Multiplex Cockpit SX. With an adaptor everybody can install it easily on any Multiplex radios, watch here: http://home.page.ch/pub/mmmoret@net2000.ch/ SPEKTRUM 2.4GHz system is just awesome it's a 100% glitch free and secure link for me it's the best on the market and makes it possible to fly any size model with the convenience, safety, and peace of mind of Spektrum.

I have used the modul now for more then 2 years. Everything that is said in revews is correct. I switch now and then back to my 35 Mhz-Modul because I need for some Models my 9 channel sytem.
I use the modul for my electro powerd sailing planes, big scale and F3A Models.
To keep on with the sussefull story of the sytem I have a WARNING for all of you. The Modul can come free from the Transmitter body and loses transmittersignal because of the tiny clamps, they are getting sluggy. I have lost a big scale sailing plane! To fix it, put two cleats between the clamps and ervery thing is save again. You are warned, Okay?!?

to fix it in the radio controller was very easy. instead of buying a new spektrum its preferable to use it in your RC which you use for years.

A good item. No problems using it in my futaba FF9. Very easy to install (30 seconds), and you can fly both your 35Mhz or 72Mhz receivers and your news 2,4Ghz receivers. And using all your knowns futaba menus to config the planes.
Very useful product.
