Try experimenting with the timing of your esc.
setting a higher timing might solve the problem.

Try a smaller prop or switch to another timing.

I wasn't too overly impressed with this motor in the stock configuration, but it's a great platform for a rewind. I rewound this motor with 14t 26awg wye (about 2200kv) and mounted it on this 24" wing on 3s and a GWS 5x4.3 prop. It does 60+mph and comes down cool. Great little motor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BRpDZOcduM

I put the motor on piplane. After a few crash now the motor shuts down at about 0.75 throttle. Anyone knows why? It was working fine with the same prop before. But after a few crashes, it stopped turning altogether. AFter I turned it with my hands both ways, it started working, but now it shuts down after it reaches a certain rpm (approx 0.75 throttle)

Mall review whether all magnets still seated properly and if the bearings have survived the crash. for me is that some malle occurred.

that is one awsome plane!is it your own desiegn or from a kit? I did a similare size 3ch triplane and it flew great like yours but yours looks very realistic. Apparently the Germans were so impresed by the sopwith tripe that they made loads of diferent types including the DR1. The full size one were tricky to fly too apparently. Great work

A five (5) oz. balsa scale plane? Which one is that? With the data you are providing, there is no problem ESC is good enough for the motor current - before you burn the ESC the motor will melt. Good combination, try the 7x4 prop and make sure the motor doesn't get too hot (or measure current to stay below 6A at full throttle). Sometimes they promis too much power on this site.

Need advice. I'm planing on using this motor with the Turnigy Plush 10a ESC with a 200 or 300mah lipo turning a 6x4 or 7x4 prop for a 30 inch 5 ounce balsa scale plane Just general cruising around, no 3D or anything like that. The ESC will connect to the Spectrum AR6300 receiver. What do you think? Primarily concerned with motor ESC and Receiver compatibility.
Thanks

Going by the numbers, 2211, the bell is (approx) 22mm in diameter. Not having this motor I'm not shure, but HXT and Turnigy motor number is bell dia x lenght (not stator dia x length as many others)

is the price in us or singapore dollars? is the prop mount included in the package or should it purchased seperately?

The price is in US dollars. It includes a machined prop mount as well as prop saver to give the user a bit of choice, as well as the motor mount with teenie tiny grub screws.

Good guess, but hex wrenches don't come in 1mm size, at least not that I ran into.
Small size metric sockets seem to be .7mm, .9mm, 1.3mm. Actual wrench size is smaller, .89mm (for a .9mm socket) is available and seems to work on the 5 gram motor (worked on one grub nut and stripped out the other). So, I seem to be stuck with drill out and hope glue and a filed flat work to retain the bell.

It's actually a 1.27 mm. The one size smaller than the 1.5 mm in my hex wrench set. My appology for not going downstairs to read the tool.
I have two of the 16 gram motors. They are a nice piece of kit.
