Any prop sever or mount are includet?
   alex tan (54%)
no prop saver and mount include, you can get a 3mm propsaver and a GWS motor mounting, it run well on a GWS 9x47 prop with a 3 cells battery
   Dmitrij (30%)
No it`s not included. In a package you have ONLY the motor.
   Mr Ed (34%)
You get a firewall mount as pictured, but nothing for a 10mm stick mount. You also don't get any kind of prop mount or prop saver with it, but they are cheap enough to buy. Ed

No, only the motor.

Does anybody know which ball bearings fit this motor?
Are these replacement ball bearings or equivalent available at Hobbyking for purchase?

Thanks
   karolpenconek (77%)
It is 693 ZZ bearing (3x8x4mm).

I don't see this bearing on Hobbyking, maybe you can ask in your local shop
   Andreas (67%)
The upper one is 6-3-2,5 mm (3 is the hole in the middle. The other one is 8-3-3. You cant find them by HK. Look at Ebay. Price about 2$ for one. I changed a lot of the top bearings after a crash. It is easy to do.
   KESTAS (30%)
I dont know

MacGyver (51%)
OK =), now I understand.
1) Take a 1.5mm "L" hexagonal screwdriver*
2) Loose all the screws*
3) Remove the inner core by releasing the "C" elastic steel clip from motor shaft*
4) Easy and gently move the shaft backwards about 14mm (besides the screw that holds the shaft there is some kind of threadlock-remeber to add when mounting again)*
5) Remount the motor,
thightening the screws and adjustin the rotating body close to the bearing*
- After reinstaling the inner core, put the "C" clip on its new position already marked on the shaft, which is 14mm from the older position*
6)TaDa. You have the shaft reversed.

I use this motor on my red extra 300 and it looks great.

Regards from Brazil

Hi,
Is it possible to reverse the shaft on this motor? Thanks!
   MacGyver (51%)
Hi, YES! Just invert two wires (any) yo will get the spin invertion.

   Lumaflap (69%)
Thanks, but I do know how to reverse spin inversion, I just want to know if someone has moved the shaft so the motor can be inside the plane, with shaft going through firewall.

It's mainly aesthetic, otherwise the motor works great on my Troll.

Thanks!

Has anyone tried fitting the spare towerpro threaded shafts to these motors? Although softer the threads come in handy and shafts longer.

An little counsel.
Glue the the mount flange with Pattex Powerglue classic on the motor. It would prevent the motor from shakeing.

Ein kleiner Tipp.
Klebt den Montageflansch mit Pattex Kraftkleber classic an den Motor. Dass verhindert dass sich der Motor lockert und zu wackeln anfngt.

go to HeadsUPRC dot com

then look for replacement shafts for the Emax 1300kv motor

I make them byself. Take a 3mm round steel.Cut it in right length. I tap a threat at the upper side so I can fix the prop with a female screw.

Is this motor powerful enough for the Skyartec Cessna 4ch foamy that the website sells?

and.... Where can I get some spare shafts for it?
   ishady (63%)
Saw all the review, I assumed it will be enough to power the Cessna (I like the Cessna too).
The problem are both the Cessna and this motor are all out of stock.

I'm using this motor with a Hobbyking 25-30 ESC and at some point the motor starts to "choke". Does anyone know what the problem may be?
   ishady (63%)
Funny, my friend (which bought the motor from me...he3) experienced the same thing, I just found that the wire are not soldered correctly to the motor (or magnet, sorry I am no-techie)* please check the wire both to the motor and the esc.
Hope you find the problem.
   Alan (76%)
IMHO Sounds like your ESC timimg is set wrong.
   Andreas (67%)
Try another ESC
   Calvin (59%)
It could be: Shorting wires Broken wires ESC troubles (ive found the Tower Pro 25A works good with this motor) **** jamming the motor up or a bad bearing (these magnets will suck metal particles out of anywhere!) If you are running it with a propeller your ESC or battery, or motor, maybe overloading and causing it to "choke."

i want to use this motor on a slofly 28 and 2s750ma battery what prop should i use
   Fabiomel (-3%)
How heavy the plane?

BigTradioman (81%)
I am building a 1.9 meter span all foam C-130 expected all up weight will be around 2 KG. Would 4 of these motors be enough with a 3s 3300 Li-Po? If not what would you suggest?
   Alan (76%)
It will strugle. Look for a motor under 1000kv that will throw a 10" prop. lower Kv -bigger prop.

SamB125 (63%)
is the grub srew the screw on the mount that screws into the shaft? What kind of grub screw goes into it, mine came with only one screw and made my plane crash :(
   Cptdragn (78%)
Yes, those are grub screws. I've flown a many birds with only one because either i lost the other one or it fell out somewhere between being made and I getting it. That was why I was asking what size they are so I can order spares.

handfistrc (77%)
How do you remove the mount from the motor so i can attach it to my firewall?

Also
   rcalldaylong (88%)
there's 2 grub screws on the side that you you remove and the mount will come off.
   AlFu (53%)
The larger problem is to keep the mount on the motor.
4 screws would be better *)
   Alan (76%)
I agree Alfu.Where practical I fit my mount to a circle of ply slightly larger dia than motor (after enlarging holes in backplate). then scrw ply to firewall. also fix wires to ply. this way i can perminently araldite motor to mount, and remove with ply as reqired. Alen grub screws are not adequate.

Cptdragn (78%)
what is the size of the grub screw that mounts the motor?
   rcalldaylong (88%)
good old 1.5 mm
   Cptdragn (78%)
Thanks Cha, now I know what size to order.

ravidguy (22%)
Hi, Does it include the 3 motor-ESC connectors ?
   rcalldaylong (88%)
no it does not. just plain wires.

handfistrc (77%)
I have a foam Fokker III Eindecker
It came with a 300 brushed motor and a 10 oz. flying weight
Will this motor work with it?
***********hobby-lobby****/eindecker.htm

thanks
   rcalldaylong (88%)
it will be a rocket on this motor. use a 3S around 500-750mah. I have mine on the electrifly Riot at 8oz with a 1000mah,...and AUW is 11 oz. The thing is a rocket using a 8x3.8 APC

royramos (63%)
how to identify the cable color coding?
   Beaufighter (-25%)
It is a brushless, wiring does not matter. Three wires from esc, three wires from motor, just connect. If motor turns in the wrong direction, change any two wires (not three)

Daniel (39%)
Is it possible to use this Motor with 3S Lipos on a EPP-Slowflyer with 1m wingspan (Hacker Zoom Zoom 4D)?

If it is possible, with prop should I use?
   Sterling (57%)
I am running this motor on an Infineon i3D biplane with an auw of 11 ounces(plans on RCGroups****)and have used a 9x4.7 with 2s1200mah and 8x4.7 using a 3s800mah. Not tons of power for 3D, but would be fine for Slowflyer

Did you know if we can have spare shaft?

Tahnks
   rcalldaylong (88%)
I've heard people say the shaft for the 24 gram Hxt motor will fit this one. haven't tried myself. But on the good side, I tried cutting into this shaft, and it is much harder then the towerpro ones. Shaft seems to have a thic layer of hardened metal which was very touch (about 1/4 of the shaft is hardened). it dulled my hack saw blade and I had to use a dremel to cut it.

unitedfun (47%)
Yes it will run on a 2cell battery, but with less thrust. You can run a larger prop to help increase the thrust. Build a thrust stand and try different prop combinations to get the best performance from your motor.

the lurker (60%)

Some data with 2S (I was interested too, for sing a light battery):
prop thrust A V RPM
7x4 APC 260 5,26 7,35 8150
8x3.8SF 360 7,61 6,94 7100
9x4.7SF 430 9 6,68 6150

Hi there,
do anybody know, the prop mount is included in this offer?
greets from Lostau- Germany

   unitedfun (47%)
I bought 4 of them and they do not come with a prop saver you will have to buy it seperately. You will need a 3mm prop saver.
   Cptdragn (78%)
they don't have one. the ones I use are

Will this motor run with the 30A ESC I already have? Thanks.
   Cptdragn (78%)
I've also run this motor on 18 and 20a ESC's. It's how you set it up with battery and prop that counts. Like unitedfun has already said. Make youself a motor thrust test stand ( they are easy to made and can be made of wood ) and get a good watt meter such as this one.
https://****hobbycity****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6380
you will get the most bang for the buck without burning up your motor or ESC
   Victor (63%)
si seguro,yo utilizo un CES 30A
