ninateam (100%)
pls, what pinion for hk250 with this motor?
   sailor (49%)
15T would give a setup similar to Align TREX250 (you will get slightly higher head speed with the KD motor). I've been running 13T for some time, but I'm planning to change to 15T to get higher head speed.

A pinion included in HK250GT is for 2,5mm shaft!

Someone tried that on Hk250? Does the 15t pinion gear supplied in the kit fits ?

I put this motor on my (stock plastic) eSky Belt CP with an 11t pinion and a 30a ESC. The motor get's really hot after a few minutes hovering and it's too hot to touch. I removed the motor and checked inside and can't see any problem with the magnets. I also tried changing the motor timing on the ESC from low to med but made no difference. Even if I spin the motor fast outside of the Belt it gets hot quickly. Any ideas?

This motor is a little small for a Belt CP you will be better off with a Turnigy 2627 as it puts out a bit more power 260 watts which should be better suited as your bird is a bit heavier than a HK250 wich is what this motor is most suited for in Helis.Maybe even a Turnigy 2836 or 450 2218 which are more suitable for a 300 Heli or Helis that run 260mm to 300mm Blades which I think the Belt does no?

There are 3 sets of wires comming out of the motor* if only 2 are connnected you should be able to see where it connects to twisted strands of magnet wire with a slodered end. Resolder it and cover the joint with heat shrink covering.

The yellow wire from the motor came away. Not sure if it was like it in the box or just loose and I pulled it off. I can solder it back on but I am not sure where it solders to on the motor. Can anyone help? Thanks.
   Nobby (-36%)
Cant you send it back?there is warranty isnt there?

MarkD (72%)
The shaft will need to be pressed out and the new one in. The easiest way is with a drill press like Phill did it.

Marc-Antoine (72%)
to remove the shaft from the motor you have to unscrew the bolt at the end of the motor and slide it out and replace it by whatever you want

robson_silva (68%)
a friend bought and adopted

shaft was successfully removed using a bench press.

how can i change the shaft to the 2.3mm one on the KD400 motor?
   helimaster (52%)
Just remove the grab screw on the shaft & remove the outer body ,use a small dolly smaller dia. than the existing shaft then give it a bit of tap.

Sebastian (40%)
how can i change the shaft to the 2.3mm one ?
   webber (98%)
If I am not mistaken - there are two shafts included with this motor. If not, you can use a 3.17 collet for props and drill a larger hole in the props you use (if neccesary)

martinl (46%)
This motor bare weight is 53 gms NOT 43 as stated...getting abit heavy for the SJM180 or the ***
   Nobby (-36%)
Try the Turnigy 2627 should Rock!in a 180 I put one into a Wasp V4 200 and it was tictoc-ing with the best of them but it did warm up a little with a Turnigy Plush 25 amp esc but it rock'D Make the main a fraction tight if you intend to go 3D heavy as you can strip the gear quite easy on the thinner mains on the 200-250 class stuff. Or buy a cnc main from microheli.

smplmn (50%)
