ESC to motor, can use 3mm or 3.5mm bullets. ESC to battery, and use dean (T style) or simular

Look at the sticker you have - on 1 side it for lipo you need put connector here like xt60. And 3 different color from other side it for motor. Link it with any combination and you can change rottation direction by swap any two wires

That's an awesome ESC and would work fine as long as your amp load is under 25 amps.

When i connect my esc it just beeps continuously. My battery is a 3s 1300mah full charged, my rx works. The esc moves the servos fine but doesn't power the motor. IT doesn't even allow me to access the programming features. Any help would be great.

Mine does this sometimes, it indicates either you have a ***r initial connection with the battery (low voltage, check connector is completely together), the esc is on the wrong channel or your reciever isn't on / bound properly. Keep trying and you'll get it.

Sounds like a motor wire is disconnected, or motor could be burnt out.

The continuous beeping is telling you that the ESC does not feel that the motor is connected. Double check all wiring, bullet connectors, and solder joints. you may have a bullet connector that is just a bit too loose as for as fit, you may have trouble lurking under a heat shrunk connection (broken wire or fractured solder joint and a OHM meter may not find these unless the break is total.
Hope this gives you some direction.. Good Luck.

What is the difference between the 'H' and 'W' series for this esc? I bought 1 of these about a month ago and 2 more just last week. The one from a month ago has a green 'H' stamp on the back and the two from last week have a red 'W' stamp on the back. I am trying to use all 3 on a tricopter, however the one with the 'H' stamp will not arm properly while the two newer ones with 'W' stamps seem to work just fine. Any suggestions?

The majority of the time I plug the battery (2S or 3S doesnt matter) into the ESC, the beeps are really soft. Then if i unplug the battery and replug without changing anything else the beeps will be normal (loud) again. This happens intermittently and I cant find a pattern. Any ideas what could be wrong? I have double checked all my soldering and it all looks ok.
Thanks

Well, the beeps are made by the motor (ESC uses it as a rudimentry speaker), so the position of the motor (how far it's rotated) could affect the volume.

If you don't own a watt meter I would recommend you get one and put it in line. If the motor numbers mean what I think then the motor is capable of pulling up to 40C max ?peak. If you are at full throttle then that is going to be hitting the ESC and battery very hard which will equal the loss in power. You need the meter to know for sure.

No, the ESC has nothing to do with what channel you're on, it's the connection to the receiver.

It isnt problem with 3S LiPo if you have set the ESC in LiPo mode (see upper how to do it). Problem may by if you won use 2S LiPo. BTW if is problem with just charged 2S LiPo in LiPo mode ESC, tou can tray folloving: 1.)plug in to the balancing connector of battery some car bulblamp (50-60W/12V) - to down voltage in the moment of plugging battery to ESC 2.) plug in the ESC 3.) wait, until ESC beep number of cells 4.) unplugg consumption "hardware" from balancing conector

I had problem with 2 bougth ESC if I used 2S LiPo = after 1/4throttle motor always cuttoff. If you wan use 2S Lipo with ESC MAG8 (25A) make folowed: Set ESC to NiMh/NiCd battery Why? If you plug fresh charged 2S LiPo, it have output voltage nearly 8,4V. 8,4V = 7cell NiMh/NiCd. Cutt off voltage protection for NiMh/NiCd is 0,8x7(cell)=5,6V (2,8V/cell) and its better protection then original setting for LiPo mode = 5,4V !!! For good cut off voltage protection is nessesery always used fresh charget battery!!! If you use 3S LiPo, set ESC to LiPo mode, with 3s ist problem.

Setting Method: Arm the transmitter, switch throttle stick to the full power position (for FUTABA series transmitter, the throttle stick shall be switched to REV). Connect the receiver and motor. Connect the power to the speed controller. 4D If the transmitter is in normal condition, it will have the following sound: (if there are no more sounds after a long low sound at the end of this sound, check the reverse setting of the transmitter throttle channel). B: indicates LIPO automatic protection BB BB: indicates NiMH/NiCD automatic protection BBB BBB: indicates brake selection 5. If there is setting you want in the process of sound cycle, switch the throttle stick, to the lowest position at the first time interval. (For example, select LIPO automatic protection: switch the throttle stick to the lowest position when hearing one B sound) 6. If there is another additional setting, quickly switch the gun to the highest position to make a selection. 7. If you have finished the setting you require, wait 2 seconds and the motor will send a confirmation sound for battery protection. It is usable after confirming the position of throttle stick. 8. LIPO automatic protection has only 2 voltage protection points, i.e 6V and 9V. There is no need to use a full capacity battery. 9. NiMH automatic protection is calculated according to the real number of batteries. Sets 0.8V for each battery. In order to ensure accurate judgment of the battery voltage, please charge the battery to full capacity. If the battery is not at full capacity. The speed controller will estimate the protection voltage according to 53% of the full capacity. 10. the brake is seeing as default set 11. Reset the brake operation to release the brake function. . 12. Factory parameter reset function: because this series of electronic governor has an overheating and false operation protective function, if you find that the speed controller is accelerating or changing is direction, or the throttle is different from the original condition, you can reset the factory parameters to obtain the highest performance. When starting the machine there is a long B sound. It indicates that the electronic governor is in LIPO protection mode. The BBB sound indicates that it is in NiMH/NiCD automatic protection mode.
