Darn, he's right. I just received mine today and compared it with the "old" ones. Weight is almost the same, but it has a different logo ( lipo safe ) and the paint is with less quality. Also there is no hextronik logo.
The used fabric seems to be the same, the only differences are the different fibre direction and a bit brighter coloring. And the price now is half the old one.
I dont know if the new ones are worse, can't test them. Just wanted to show the differences :-)

Judging by the dimensions you gave, it could probably fit in, albiet just. The charge pack could probably take 1 of the boxes with the dimensions you specified but you would have to put the box in slanted.
