How long has these been out of stock?

Hey, I have a 11.1V 20C lipo battery witha burst rate of 30C. Can i use it one 1 of these speed controllers? Im not sure how to calculate the max current my battery will give.
   Patrick (100%)
You didn't specify the capacity of your lipo. Lets say it's 2000mAh. Then the 20C/30C battery can deliver 2000/1000*20 = 40A continuously. The max burst current would be 2000/1000*30 = 60A. Note: it's not because the battery *can* deliver 40A that it *will** that depends on the load (motor and prop). The Plush 18A controller will be fine on 3S (~12V) if the power is no more than 12V*18A = 216W.
   Rahul (100%)
My battery is 4000 mAh. So current should be between 80A and 120A. how can check how much power will be drawn, is it based on the motor connected to the speed controller? Once I have to power I can see how much current ill be drawin gbased on the power/voltage right?
   Patrick (100%)
Yes, you are correct: the 4000mAh battery will be able to deliver 80A and 120A and so at 12V the max continuous power will be around 1000W. But the 18A speed controller will impose a limit of ~220W. So you will need to check the characteristics of your motor so as not to exceed the 18A limit of the ESC. Your batteries will be fine in any case, since they can deliver more current than the ESC. BTW, what is the intended application ? If it's a plane, 220W max power seems very low to carry a 400gr heavy lipo.

does anybody also have trouble fitting the universal plug into graupner/jr receiver? they're actually impossible to get in w/o sanding them off...
actually this is the case with all turnigy esc's and servos...

It's a shame what it takes to send the articles to meet lead times tones:
   roberted5 (34%)
That's what you have to do,unless you get a JR reciever simular to the Spectrum 6110E.The 6 channel Spectrum 6110E works with JR transmitters and is only 49.95 and you can catch it on sale for less.
I know flyer that use them in 40 sized glow fuel profiles w/o any glitches or brown-outs.

If it's in working condition as long as you don't go over the limit of Amps it will work fine.

A is the signal wire or blue, the B wire and C wire is positive and negitive. They have to be switched to get the motor to turn in the right direction.Just be sure you do it with the Li-Po disconnected.

what batteryconnector is attached?
   downloader (66%)
The esc doesn't come with a battery connector, you'd be better of to purchase a XT60 connector.
Thank You!
   radialarm (28%)
No connectors on this product
   Brad (63%)
None. You will need to provide that yourself depending on the type of connectors you have on your batteries

Only wires. You need to get connector separately.
   Vincent31 (64%)
Nothing, it's sell without any connector!

does this come with the gold bullett co's?
   downloader (66%)
No, usually the motor comes with the gold bullets, or you can always solder the wires directly *)
Thank You!
   radialarm (28%)
No! Usually the motor has the male and female connectors.
   dando (77%)
No, it comes with no connectors installed except the JST which connects to the receiver.
   Thorzxr (56%)
No conectors

No connectors with controller. I got my connectors when I bought the motor. You also need to get battery connector for this.

What is the different between Basic 3.1 and Plush controllers?
   downloader (66%)
Basic doesn't have so many features like governor mode etc, but the basic has only the basic features so it can be a bit cheaper...
Thank You!

Is this ESC a V3.1 or something else? The picture suggests that. I see a Plush 18a V3.1 listed further down.
Thanks
   crigotti (25%)
Oops! I just noticed that the other ESC is listed as a "Basic".

Ron (63%)
I have the Plush 18A with programming card.

The ESC works well with 11v LiPo packs, but it only runs the motor at half speed when using 8.4v NiMh packs.

I programmed the ESC for NiMH using the programming card, and then set the thottle range setting using the trasmitter stick routine.

I have used another ESC on the same motor and battery, it is gives good power. As I said before, now with the Plush 18A, the motor gives only half power using the same battery pack.

   Deryn (87%)
How are you measuring the power output?
If you are not measuring motor RPM, you will not get a clear indication of what is happening.
   Ron (63%)
No RPM measurement, but since I've run the same battery pack on this motor before, it is apparent that at full throttle it is only giving about half the output of before.
   Deryn (87%)
Half speed suggests the motor is spinning in the wrong direction. Certain combinations of electronics work differently to others (no idea why).
Try reversing your throttle channel via the transmitter and swap any 2 wires between the ESC and motor, hopefully that will fix your problem.
   Ron (63%)
Thanks Deryn, I will give it a try.
   jonbernh (75%)
If you measure your NiMH pack under load you might discover a significant votage dropp! Thrust ~RPM^2 and RPM~Volt thus Thrust~Volt^2.

HELLO guys im having this speed controller but it is not reponding
   roberted5 (34%)
Did you get any beeps after connecting power?
   joanwa (19%)
you need to connect the motor, otherwise it won't respond. doesn't say it in the manual and took me also 10 min wondering why the thing won't beep :)
   roberted5 (34%)
How many Kv is your motor rated?Your going to lose 3.4 times the Kv rating of your motor on 2S Li-Po's.
For example,my motor is rated at 1000Kv,which means 1000RPm/volt.So using a 3S Li-Po you get 11.1 volts and 11,100 RPM on 2S Li-Po's you get
7.4 volts or 7,400 RPM which would seem close to half.
