The TR 35-48-B 900kv is an exchange for Previous TR 35-48-D 1000kv.
I have an 60A ESC and 12x6Prop. Should be used in a Druine AKROBAT and 4S 3000 LiPO.
Should I better use a smaller Prop?

Curious if this motor will work for my HK 1.5m - 2200g Monster Yak54 3D plane. I am running a 14.8v 4S 3300mAh Turnigy batt. The stock prop is 14x7. The stock motor is a 3720 - 800kv but very ***r quality so I am looking for a replacement. Current prop shaft on the stock motor is 5mm. Would this motor be good for 3D abilities for my 2200g/4.8lb plane? Thanks!

Howdy! This may cause fire... Im not sure if this will work. My 35-48D became damaged by heat because of 4S at 12x6 . My plane is just 2 kg. That's why changed to the 35-48B and a little smaller Prop.

i HAVE the Turnigy C35 48 B 900kv motor. The motor shaft broke on MADIN run up on the TEST STAND. I am swinging a Master Airscrew 12/8 prop. I took great care to balance the prop. The motor shaft looks like it did not have proper temp. It broke right at the motor face.
Any suggestions.

Can anyone tell me if this is the best replacement motor for the E-flite Power 15 motor?
I want to put it in the E-flite Beechcraft Bonanza.

I have installed this motor in a 1.1M Ultimate bipe. Running on a 4cell lipo pack, the 12X8 and 13X6 TURNIGY props and this motor deliver awesome power, as smooth as silk. No heat problems. Due to a stock out I bought a Mystery 40A ESC and I was very pleased as it also ran cool. Programming was out the box, no need to fiddle with it.

Oh, I forget to add - the ESC is a 30A TowerPro, the prop 12x8 folding.
   Beaufighter (-25%)
I think you are very close to or above the amp rating for this esc, a 12x8 prop is likely to be above 30A for this motor (but hard to tell unless you can measure it..) The 1500 20C battery is also running at or above max (30A), so the esc is probably cutting on low voltage when you run motor static (static test will stress the motor more than actual "in flight")

This motor powers a 1,2 kg 2,20 m. glider, and that's more then plenty of power too. (I had the motor laying around for a 3m. glider but this one came along first so it came in handy.)
Only, from time to time when I connect a lipo (3S 1500A 20C), and apply full throttle, the motor revvs a second and just dies. I close the throttle and try again, and most of the time it will run just fine. Once airborne, it never fails on me.
What happens - is the lipo too light? (The motor was originally planned in a 3m. glider with a stronger lipo)

Looking to put this on a Lanier Stinger .40 size that weighs in at 2200-2400 grams or 5 - 5 1/2 pounds, any ideas welcome. This would be my first conversion.

Can I use this motor in a helicopter (Quicken EP-8 SP). I am looking for Rpm 1600 - 2000 (sport flying - no 3D)
   Malfamartin (71%)
You can find much better ones for Heli
   kyomar (42%)
thanks for your reply Malfamartin. Which ones would you recommend. I don't need high rpm.

I bought this one instead ***********hobbycity****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=3887 (TR 35-42B 1250kv Brushless Outrunner (Eq: AXi 2820) ). Will comment once used/tested in my Quick EP-8V2 SP.

Could anyone tell me the break down in the Dimmensions of this motor?
My stock motor on my E-flite Apprentice is plastic and cheap.
Dimmensions are approximately-
Motor housing=50mm (1.96in)
Protruding shaft=12mm (.472in)
Overall=62mm (2.51in).

anything shorter may not work...
Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

This is a late reply, you probably already found a solution but here it goes anyway,
Perfect fit for the Apprentice, I put one together for a freind of mine and got it to work just fine. I used a spacer of about 1/4" to get the proper distance out of the cowl, no worries. The only other issue is the mounting pattern, E-Flite has a equi-distant bolt circle, and Turnigy has an offset pattern. Nothing a dremel and router bit couldn't handle. Many many happy flights on it.
The reason I'm looking at this motor again is because I am getting another to put in a SuperCub ! ! !

I ordered this motor to run with a 14x7 prop, 80 esc hextronix and 3000mah+ 20c battery with my Sebart Katana 30e. Let's see how it works.

I am using this motor in the sebart Angel S30 and its very powerful with 14x7 Apc and Flightmax 2650 30C, but it gets a bit hot !

What timing are people running with this motor and the Turnigy Plush 40A ESC? The ESC comes with the timing "low" in the default mode. Is there any benefit in turning it up to "medium"?
   Beaufighter (-25%)
In general, high for outrunner, low for inrunner. There is usually no "benfit" from changing, other than the fact that the motor runs really bad on wrong timing ("screaching" noise, heat problems due to too high current consumption, not possible to spin up to rpm etc)
   Farmer Ted (86%)
Thanks, I read the instructions to the ESC again and they recommended medium for motors above 6 poles (this one has 14) so I switched it to meduim. Current consumption didn't change so I don't know that it will do much for me. I may try the high setting once just to see what happens.

slumberjer (88%)
Spare shaft for this motor..where can I get this..Can I use the AerodriveXP 35-48A Shaft for this motor?
   magnusEl (80%)

Yes you can. The only differens, A v/s B and C, is the number of windings. The dimentions are the same.

rmartignoni (44%)
Is it possible to fly 3D style with a 2200mAh 11.1v with this motor?
   krisglider (81%)
Certainly it is possible, it depends on the weight of your model and how you use your throttle stick.
   rmartignoni (44%)
The model will be the Edge 540 25e availiable here. It's weight is about 1.2 kilos.
   krisglider (81%)
This weight will be handled with ease. Take a 11 to 12 inch prop and you will have unlimited vertical with moderate power consumption.
   seonghyun (72%)
this motor is very good
   lapo92 (63%)
Hello, I ordered this engine for the Sukhoi 30 Sebart mount with 15x8 prop and 3s 2650. I plan to do advanced 3d. I read some comments about the weakness of the shaft size 4mm instead of traditional 5 mm. This problem is real? the shaft breaks in normal use in 3d or not? Obviously if I touch the ground breaks. thanks
