PRODUCT ID: UBECH
RATED:
4A UBEC w/ Low Voltage horn
4A UBEC w/ Low Voltage horn

This isnt a normal UBEC.
It can handle 4amp draw and comes with a low voltage warning buzzer. Should your pack drop to below 3V per cell the buzzer will sound, telling you its time to land your plane before you kill your expensive Lipo pack.

The UBEC comes with an extended section of PCB, you can use this to help mount the UBEC or you can simply cut it off.

Although this is a UBEC and can handle up to 23v, its warning system is only designed for 2cell. Some would consider using a UBEC for 2cell as overkill, however it ensures a stable current, less heat and a higher amperage can be used.

This UBEC can be used with up to 23v input. If you use a 2 cell pack only, it will also warn you if your cells drop to 3v per cell.

is this ubec linar?
   Alan (100%)
If is doesn't say SBEC, then it most likely is a linear regulator. SBEC is the switching regulator.

THANKS

LOL... you and me too. No directions I do understand when using a ubec. You cut or unplug the red wire from the speed controller that pugs into the reciever (the plug that has 3 wires) My question is about the jumper... how do you know if its set for 5 volt or 6 volt don't want to toast anything. =( guess I might have to get some tools out and do surgry i know some are marked on the board, but the heat srink is not clear..its yellow.

Hi George E, maybe sounds stupid but can try a voltmeter, maybe it works.

What is the use of the ckt board that everyone cuts out and how is it done??
   waynemia (74%)
The additional board makes it easier to mount the regulator. You can cut if off if not needed.

Just bought one of these. When I plug it into 3 cell lipo the alarm just goes off and it doen't work. Can anyone advise me what I am doing wrong
   waynemia (74%)
The alarm only sounds for voltage drop below 6Vdc. The alarm was designed for 2S LiPo.
   Nigel (43%)
I use a 2S fully charged but there was obviousely a defect. I ripped the alarm off and it works fine now.
