Hi!
Bougth this motor with
- hexTronik PRO 10A BESC w/ PC Programmability
- GWS HD8040 3 Blade Prop Counter Rotate (2pc)

Meassured the trust today, and the scale said 50g and 5600 as max rpm (24 magnet motor poles[don't know the correct setting for this motor])

This can't be correct! Whats wrong

I tested the 1300kv with GWS HS8040 3 Blade on 2s and it gives a peak of approximately 220 grams at 3.9A.

When i read your message right you bought counter rotate props. One is spinning left and the second one is spinning right.Maybe you got the wrong prop.Take the second one and meassured again.

Did the quality of the bearing changed?
On my new one, the bearings seems differents from the old one and they were damage on the first hard landing.

It would be great if Hc can offer bearing remplacement. It is more easy to break a bearing than a shaft

Hi,

I think it might be a misconfiguration of your ESC.
(wrong start or timing mode ?)
do you have tested your brushless with another one ?

regards

I have the same issue with a 10Gram motor. I changed ESC and for the most part problem solved. I will some times hesitate.

It says the motor comes with mount and prop saver, I would like to know what they look like, if somebody could point me to some photos?
   Vidar (73%)
Here's the mount (although the mount now comes with 4 "legs" instead of 3): ***********hobbycity****/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5217

can anyone tell me what size the set screws are on the side of this motor? One of mine came out during flight.
Thanks, Sterling

They're M3, dunno the length, but that's not so critical 3-5mm should be just fine!
