Hi can I use this with 2S Lipol? Has it lipol protection? what is cut voltage for 2S and 3S lipol? like 6/9V or what?

ok, if i have a gWS c-130 with 4 brushless motors and 4 esc`s, instead of having to cut esc wires can i use this thing to send the signal back to the receiver/ email me asap

What max current AMP PEAK ? How long to use Peak current?

more 5 A ?
   alechetti (23%)
i didn't try with more than 5A, with 4-4,5A it works correctly and slightly warm, but the cables, both input and output are undersized for the current, must be replaced, anyway it is a very good product

i use this sbec on a 60 inch trainer model with 6 servos - 3 hs 60 , 1 jr 517 and 2 bigger wing servos . stirring both sticks simultaneously i tested 3.5 a . this plane has many flights with no probs .
   Nicolay (88%)
HI! In a manual it is written that the maximum current of 5 amperes.

Hello,
I have 2 questions.
1. Does it come with ferite O-ring as shown in this picture?
***********topprops.*****/Assets/Turnigy/SBEC40V/SBEC40V.jpg
Mine arrived without this ring.
2. Its said input 8v-26v(2-7cell LiPo) but normal 2s LiPo voltage is around 7-7.5v under load. Can it still operate under rated minimum 8v input voltage? I dont want to risk my model.

Best regards,
S.Ganchev
   Dangaras (51%)
This BEC is a switching BEC, it should operate on the loaded voltage of a 2 cell LiPo.

The recommendation for anyone using a new part is to dedicate a little time to bench testing before you fly because if you fly test and it fails, you will certainly spend more time on the bench.
   jjuan_de_dios@h (75%)
1.- Yes, it does. 2.- I used it with a 7.2V battery and no problems.
   Attila (35%)
1. yes it does come with the ferite o-ring 2. no. you will have to use min 3s pack
   Firepower (32%)
The O ring comes separate in the box so you may have thrown it out. Good question about the voltage. That is not much help.
   Aremon (34%)
1. Yes. It come with nice green ring. 2. Probably it will work
   Bullet-Bait (43%)
Yes they work well with a 2s lipo
   Jens Arnold (64%)
yes, with ferite 0-ring 16mm x8mm high
2s lipo no tested, use direct 2s life cells to the reciever and servos - great power and servospeed
   Bullet-Bait (43%)
Yes they will A fully charged 2s lipo will be at 8.4V. I use these to power my 2.4ghz receivers in my nitro's. That way I have piece of mine that there is always going to be at least 6v going to the receiver and i'm not going to get reboots because the voltage dropped to much. As for the ferrite ring all mine come with it so I'd say yes to that question.

Any one know what connector comes attached?
   radialarm (28%)
The only connector on the is a universal servo type for the Rx.
   jjuan_de_dios@h (75%)
no connector for voltage. For RX futaba connector.
   Attila (35%)
the output has a std connector going to the Rx and the input has no connector
This customer was awarded a credit for their answer.
   sterlingl (29%)
no connectors on mine
   Dennis (46%)
the LIPO side is whitout connector, only roundabout 100mm long red/black wires.
the wires of 5V/6V side is 300mm long and has a connector for the receiver.
   Aremon (34%)
input: free cable (like used with JST connector) output: about 25 cm cable with standart serwo plug (~JR)
   Bullet-Bait (43%)
Input doesn't have any connectors, output is a standard JR connector
   Aremon (34%)
1. normal serwo connector 2. free cable

Il coupe si le 2S descends en-dessous de 8V ?
   Attila (35%)
min 3s battery
   rafmos (97%)
Apparemment il faut absolument utiliser une LiPo 3S. Sinon, c'est vraiment dangereux.
   skafty (72%)
no i us3e this all the time on 2s set up and 3s and 4s the ones i bought have never failed they work faultless on every set up i have put them on and they actually take interference out of your set up and stop the servo jitters on cheaper setups they are the best i have come across

whats the difference between ubec and sbec?
   Antons (74%)
Switching mode regulator and Linear regulator[just google it]. Latter one dissipates excess power as heat - means wastes abunch of energy as heat(12v input, 5v output => at 3A load it will have to dissipate 7v and 3A=21 Watt of energy as heat).Thats why cheaper escs heat up from servo load much more than from running a motor and that`s why it is impossible to make nonswitching BEC for high voltage input. Thus switching mode regulators are more likely to generate RF noise and unstable output voltage. Looks like this problem is addressed well in particular device...
   radialarm (28%)
There's no difference "U" means universal, "S" means switching, both have switching BEC cicuits. Just check the specs to make sure it's what you want.
   Aremon (34%)
For normal people: none the "beSc" you can programming.
   Firepower (32%)
A quick answer is a UBec is a linear type and draws more current but do not let that put you off. The SBec is a switching regulator which is usually better.
